Our Story
Youth With A Mission is a global movement of Christians in almost 200 countries from many cultures, age groups and Christian traditions, dedicated to serving Jesus throughout the world. Our trainings are granted by University of the Nations. We unite in a common purpose: To know God and to make Him known.
YWAM International purchased the castle in Hurlach/Germany in 1972 as a base for the evangelistic outreaches during the Olympic Games in Munich. Since then the castle was used to train and send thousands of young people into the nations.
Our Hurlach castle was only the second base purchased by YWAM. As of today, YWAM International is active in about two thousand locations, with tens of thousands of staff (called “YWAMers”) and has trained over five million people.
Many ministries were launched through the years out of Hurlach, including YWAM’s international publishing house, YWAM Slavic Ministries, Family Ministries and Kings Kids Germany, along with several other YWAM teams and training locations, worship music was introduced to Germany, and much more is to come!

We have a program called: Mission Builder. It is designed for interdenominational Christians who want to support the mission in practical areas of their gifting while learning more about world missions and YWAM. We accept applications for stays from 2 weeks to 3 months. It is not a requirement to have done a DTS to apply for this volunteer program.

From vision to reality:
Your help brings us closer to adding this much needed neighboring property and house to our missionary training on the Hurlach campus by June & Dec. 2024. Also urgently we require fire safety renovations of the castle.
